Food Regulation Facts Alliance (FRFA) and Next Generation Pet Food Manufacturers Association (NGPFMA) come together – how it affects you!

Food Regulation Facts Alliance is an advocacy stakeholder organization for independent pet supply store retailers, owners and employees. We represent retailers at AAFCO meetings, and teach retailers about regulation when they need it. NGPFMA is an advocacy stakeholder organization for small pet food manufacturers. NGPFMA represents manufacturers at AAFCO, and teaches them about regulation when they need, often assisting through inspections and (attempted but illegally enforced) recalls.
The lines get surprisingly blurred between these groups. Retailers know and work with manufacturers. Manufacturers sell to and care about retailers. NGPFMA and FRFA have merged efforts to better empower these groups with information, knowledge, and understanding of regulation and behind-the-scenes industry occurrences.

When we all work together we are stronger. Sadly, the voice of the people does not ring nearly as loud in the ears of the government as the voices of big corporations.  Mars, Nestle, Smuckers, Del Monte, Diamond Biodiesel, Rendering, Big Pharma… they all have voices louder than yours.

- Food Regulation Facts Alliance (FRFA) advocacy group was created to represent small and independent retailers at AAFCO meetings and with government officials in the pet food industry. FRFA is also able to affect decisions made on AAFCO Working Groups. FRFA mediates false rumors and increases clarity with controversial industry topics. We carry only natural products form morally-conscientious companies and strive to support other independent companies in Colorado and around the U.S. - Pet Fooled II - Food Regulation Facts Alliance will all be featured in Pet Fooled II. - FRFA often contributes to Research and Safety information on Federal and State pet and agricultural committees. - FRFA supplied AAFCO's Pet Food Safety Committee with a Risk Assessment Statistics document evidencing that Raw Food is significantly safer than kibble or HPP Frozen. This document was published nationally in the AAFCO Feed Bin. - FRFA participates in a variety of scientific research projects in the pet industry. These projects help to identify the truth behind certain claims such as whether or not vitamin d levels are higher in raw vs kibble fed pets or whether cooking causes more lipid oxidation than HPP. - FRFA publishes in Dogs Naturally Magazine and other local magazines

  2. PLEASE adopt another non-Paypal way to pay dues and join this organization! As a retailer, I want to join and support this effort. But I have had bad experiences with Paypal and refuse to use it. Every other entity online has a way to pay using a credit card and a secure server. I hope you have a secure server – we don’t want to give Big Pet Food a nice convenient enemies list, do we?
